An opportunity has arisen to join the Sexual Health services as a Sexual Health nurse working across Northumbria NHS Trust. We wish to appoint a Sexual Health Nurse to work delivering Integrated Sexual Health Services including contraception provision and STI screening to patients aged 13 years and over. We will provide our staff with training opportunities to enhance their skills, knowledge and career progression within the Sexual Health service, while providing high quality and safe service in line with the Trust Values.
The post is permanent mainly working across the service within the hours of 08:30 to 19:30 Monday to Friday.

* Provide integrated sexual health to patients aged 13 and upwards from a diverse range of cultural and social backgrounds.
* Work in an unsupervised role and be able to make clinical decisions /assessments following completion of in-house training and competency-based assessments. The post holder will be supported to undertake recognised sexual health qualifications and training.
* Provide evidence-based advice to patients and other healthcare professionals
* Work collaboratively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of clinical sessions across the geography of Northumberland and North Tyneside.
* Contribute to the implementation of current and future national, local and service specific projects and standards.
* Work within trust guidelines.
