Games Design Lecturer (3D Modelling) – Temporary – 12 hours per week – Ware - £28.58-£30.71 per hour
We are recruiting a Games Design Lecturer (3D Modelling) to work at Hertford Regional College to help deliver an outstanding learner experience and be inspirational to students at their state the of art facilities in Ware.

About The Role
We are seeking a skilled and passionate 3D Modelling Tutor to teach across Level 4, Level 5, and Level 6 Games Design courses, including HRC’s BA (Hons) Games Design Top Up.
This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students and help them develop industry-standard skills for careers in the games industry
The hours offered are – 12 hours per week, working Wednesdays and Fridays.
The temporary contract is offered commencing January 2026 on an ongoing basis, term time only.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and practical lessons in 3D modelling, animation, and rigging for games design.
* Teach using industry-standard tools such as Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and integrate workflows with Unity or Unreal Engine.
* Support students in developing creative portfolios and professional practices aligned with current industry trends.
* Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to ensure progression and achievement.
* Complete administrative tasks for Level 6 students using StudyNet, the University of Hertfordshire’s online platform.
* Contribute to curriculum development and maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and techniques in games design.
About You
Essential Skills and Experience:
Strong proficiency in 3D modelling, texturing, animation, and rigging for games.
Knowledge of game engines and asset integration.
Experience in lighting, rendering, and optimization for real-time environments.
Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
Previous teaching or mentoring experience (desirable but not essential).
Qualifications:
Degree in Games Design, 3D Modelling, or a related field.
Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one (support provided).
