The role
We have a great opportunity for an experienced & motivated Account Executive with a general Commercial background to join Jensten Group. You’ll be based at our Cheadle Hulme office, with hybrid working options for flexibility. The main purpose of the role is to retain and grow an existing book of business in the surrounding areas, focusing on growth. The book consists of long-standing clients with strong relationships. You will work closely with a team of dedicated Account Handlers who will support you to achieve desired outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
* Offering and presenting insurance solutions, including policies and risk management, to secure renewals and new business, while collaborating with colleagues and managers.
* Identifying and pursuing cross-selling and up-selling opportunities, utilizing all leads provided, and developing new ways to increase quote volume.
* Achieving or exceeding targets for quotes, sales, and income from all marketing sources, including prospecting activities.
* Understanding clients’ business operations, risks, and risk management approaches.
* Ensuring compliance with local procedures, customer service standards, and external regulations such as FCA.
About you
You will inherit existing clients to manage and grow, while also developing your own connections. Building and maintaining relationships through client visits and regular communication will be key. You should have a passion for providing solutions and spotting opportunities to benefit clients. Additionally, you will ideally have:
* Experience in the insurance industry, particularly in Commercial insurance.
* A passion and flair for new business development.
* An existing client base to bring and grow the book of business.
* Excellent customer service, communication skills, and a professional telephone manner.
* Drive and enthusiasm to learn and develop within insurance and sales.
* Experience working with insurers and clients in similar roles.
* Good attention to detail and ability to multitask, including updating systems and admin.
* Knowledge of Acturis system (preferable).
