We are currently recruiting for a Housing Support Worker to work for a rewarding Charity who provide practical help and personalised support through their education, housing, justice and health and wellbeing services. 37.5 hours per week Monday- Friday and 1 Saturday per month with day off during the week Shift Rota - Morning 8am-4pm and afternoon 2-10pm / Saturdays 9am-5pm Home working between property and office visits Full driving license and car owner essential £19.18 per hour via Umbrella Company (£27,807 annual equivalent) This role will support service users across properties locally who are vulnerable adults leaving the criminal justice system who are based in charity properties in the Newcastle area. This role will be providing support for vulnerable adult service users offering a person centred support ensuring service users build confidence and independence, as well as providing housing and property management solutions with the aim of achieving a successful move-on as well as supporting users with access to support services. The ideal candidate will ideally have some previous support work or housing experience in a similar sector and have a passion for supporting and helping others from vulnerable backgrounds such as mental health, substance misuse, homelessness, etc. You will ideally have a understanding of people with in the criminal justice system with an understanding of safeguarding.
