Hours
37 hours per week, including weekends.
Salary
£34,416 per annum. Sleep‑in shifts pay £60 per night. Travel expense is paid at 45p per mile.

What you’ll be doing
As Service Manager you’ll be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation and management of two support services where six individuals live with varying interests. You will proactively engage with the continued development of the service, provide motivational leadership and direction to your team, and enable them to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred support. Building positive relationships with all stakeholders and putting our vision and values into action will be central to your role. You will carry out frequent reviews of support requirements, including service delivery plans, support plans, progress logs and risk assessments, following person‑centred and relationship‑centred Active Support principles. Managing a team of support workers, you will handle all aspects of team management and development, encouraging coaching and creative problem‑solving to achieve the highest levels of support and independence for the people we serve.
We’d love to hear from you if you have
* Experience supporting people with learning difficulties in a social care setting
* Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care (or actively working towards)
* A strong caring nature to support others in living an enriched life and fulfilling their potential
* Effective communication skills and the ability to influence others
* A working knowledge and understanding of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice
* Flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required
* Welsh language skills so you can effectively communicate with Welsh‑speaking service users and meet their cultural and linguistic needs
* Access to your own car and willingness to use it for transporting people we support to and from activities, with business insurance provided for the vehicle (transport reimbursed at 45p per mile)
* A driver’s licence and willingness to travel for meetings and training
