We are excited to present an incredible opportunity for twoBuilding Safety Managers to join our dynamic Building Safety Team, with one role dedicated to Calderdale and the other to Lancashire. This pivotal position lies at the heart of the innovative Building Safety framework. You will work closely with regulatory bodies, teammates, and contractors to ensure that all building safety measures, required corrective actions, and relevant safety standards are diligently implemented, compliant, and thoroughly recorded.
Your key duties will involve ensuring that all buildings within your scope are registered with the Building Safety Regulator and hold a valid Building Assurance Certificate. Furthermore, you will take the lead in creating, managing, and overseeing a robust Resident Engagement Strategy. Acting as the primary contact for both internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure that our buildings, communal areas, and residents' homes uphold the highest safety standards. Requirements
Outline of Key Responsibilities as a Building Safety Manager...
* Manage Building Information Model (BIM) content.
* Establish IT requirements for comprehensive building safety visibility.
* Maintain compliant Building Safety Cases/Reports for high-risk blocks.
* Ensure the Golden Thread of information is accessible.
* Register buildings with the Building Safety Regulator and maintain Assurance Certificates.
* Perform duties for the Accountable Person under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
* Develop and maintain fire safety strategies and Fire Management Plans.
* Audit and approve Fire Risk Assessments and manage PCFRAs and residential PEEPs (rPEEPs).
* Oversee completion of statutory remedial works.
* Investigate and manage fire incidents in high-risk blocks.
* Implement Mandatory Occurrence Reporting regime.
* Engage with residents and implement a Resident Engagement Strategy.
* Build relationships with regulatory bodies and internal teams.
* Support audits and inspections, escalating risks as needed.
* Collaborate on best practices in building safety and advise resident groups.
* Uphold Health and Safety standards and promote equality, diversity, and inclusion.
We Are Looking for Someone Who Has...
* Extensive experience in Building Safety or Fire Safety roles.
* Relevant training and accreditations in building engineering or property compliance.
* Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) with strong analytical and report writing skills.
* Experience in change management and service improvement.
* Knowledge of governance and risk management principles for building and resident safety.
* Understanding of PAS 8673 competencies in safety, operational practices, and risk management.
* Familiarity with CDM 2015, Fire Safety Act 2021, Building Safety Act 2022, and related regulations.
* A Level 6 Diploma in Building Safety Management or equivalent; NEBOSH Fire Safety certification.
* Membership in the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) or similar professional body.
* Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
* A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

In return, we are offering the successful candidate in the Building Safety Manager role...
* Starting salary of £56,510 per annum
* 27 days holiday (rising to 32 over 5 years' service) + bank holidays
* Hybrid working - you will manage your week by dividing your time between working in our offices, on site and working from home. Your typical work week will consist of two days in the office, with the remaining days spent on-site or working remotely from home.
* You will be working 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday (occasional evening or weekend working depending on business needs). Working arrangements are flexible in line with our Smart Working culture so that we deliver an excellent and accessible service for customers.
