Are you a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record in delivering successful projects within the highways sector? An exciting opportunity awaits you in Plymouth to play a pivotal role on a local highways scheme. This is a freelance role, initially for 3/6 months, focused on managing change and administering NEC contracts. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring commercial control, particularly around variations, compensation events, and accurate cost reporting. The role will be client facing alongside a focus on internal measures. Key Requirements: ·Extensive experience in major Highways projects, preferably with National Highways experience. ·Strong background in quantity surveying and cost management. ·Excellent knowledge of contract administration and procurement processes. ·Ability to manage and lead a team of surveyors effectively. ·Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen. ·Happy to work at least 4 days on-site per week.
