Our Meallmore team at St Olaf is ready to warmly welcome you as a Care Assistant within their care home. Located in Nairn, Highland, the historic seaside town of Nairn hosts St Olaf, one of the leading care homes in the Eastern Highlands. The home provides high-quality care for elderly residents, including a specialist unit for those living with dementia, catering to the frail elderly and those affected by dementia, strokes, or Parkinson's disease.
Our mentorship programme and ongoing learning and development opportunities will support your skill development and career progression, whether aiming to become a Senior Care Assistant or a Senior Care Practitioner.
If you are not already registered as a care assistant, Meallmore will assist you with the registration process with the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council).
Your role as a Meallmore Care Assistant will include:
* Promoting and providing high-quality care and support according to individual care/support plans.
* Creating a wellbeing-focused environment and participating in general activities of the home.
* Adhering to Meallmore Standards, Policies, Procedures, and National Care Standards.
* Working in line with the SSSC Codes of Practice.
* Collaborating with care staff within your department and the wider team.
* Carrying out personal care duties.
* Working towards the qualification required for SSSC registration.
* Possessing SVQ level 2 or above/equivalent in Health and Social Care (desirable).
* Demonstrating good communication and rapport-building skills.
* Having a kind and caring nature.
