Overview
AXA - Global Healthcare is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Account Coordinator to join the SME Retention team on a full-time, permanent basis in our Tunbridge Wells and Leicester offices. In this role, you’ll support the sales team with operational tasks, manage client communications, and ensure the smooth execution of retention processes across our portfolio. You’ll contribute to enhancing client satisfaction and driving internal efficiency. We welcome applicants with customer service and administrative experience within insurance who are motivated, team-focused, and able to challenge when necessary while maintaining a professional and pragmatic approach. AXA supports a flexible working approach, balancing time between home and office as appropriate for the role and the team. Some travel is expected: at least two days a week (40%) away from home, with potential to move to three days (60%) in the future. Away from home activity can include office attendance, client visits, or industry events.
What you’ll be doing:
* Accurately meeting the administrative needs of the regional portfolio in conjunction with the Account Manager.
* Providing support to the Account Manager with renewal quotations, membership listings and answering general queries for the broker portfolio.
* Having technical knowledge of developments to international product offerings (e.g. benefit revisions, rule changes) and new protocols (e.g. eligibility).
* Supporting the Account Managers with keeping all databases updated to provide accurate API.
* Liaising with customers (direct or brokered) by telephone, email or in writing according to established processes and procedures.
Qualifications
* Previous customer service and administration within the insurance field, with a proven track record of contributing to revenue growth.
* Ability to connect with a variety of people over the phone and in writing.
* Customer focused, with the ability to build rapport while conducting oneself in a professional manner.
* Ability to challenge when needed.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills.
* Proactive, self-motivated, well organized with the ability to manage time effectively.
* Supportive and approachable team player.
* Experience of working in a Global Insurance Market would be desirable.
* As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
