Band 2 Receptionist
Hours per week: 37 hours per week
Location: New Victoria Hospital / Gartnavel General Hospital, Endoscopy Unit
Purpose
To support effective clinical care by providing an efficient reception service to Patients, General Practitioners, Medical and Nursing Staff. Ensure patient appointments are administered and processed accurately and that patient’s medical records remain confidential, are securely stored and are available as and when necessary. To update systems to show admission, DNA or cancellations by patients are accurate and conducted in a timely manner. To scan all procedure reports onto portal and send copies to GP’s. To ensure smooth running of the reception area at all times. To assist patients, medical & nursing staff with any enquiries.
This post would support the existing full time Receptionist, to ensure administrative support to the endoscopy service at all times. Cross site cover (GGH VIC and QE) may also be required on occasion.

Responsibilities
* Provide an efficient reception service to patients, GPs, medical and nursing staff.

* Scan procedure reports onto the portal and send copies to GPs.
* Support the endoscopy service administratively and provide cross-site cover when required.
* Assist patients and staff with enquiries and maintain smooth reception area operations.
Qualifications and requirements
* Experience of reception/admin duties in a healthcare setting preferred.
* Good communication, organisational and IT skills.
* Ability to handle confidential information and work across sites as required.
