In this role, you will be responsible for providing guidance and education to the business to ensure sales contracts are executed through best practice with low risk. Using a collaborative and engaging approach, the successful candidate will be able to build and maintain high level professional relationships, while using their extensive background in contract negotiation, formation and management to provide support, recommendations, and challenge on commercial and contractual matters. Key Accountabilities: Manage the contract negotiation process to support the business in achieving its sales contracting objectives, in compliance with company benchmarks. Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure post award compliance and the delivery of contract obligations for the assigned contract portfolio. Provide guidance to the business in the interpretation of contractual terms and conditions, identification and assessment of risks and make recommendations to maximise commercial opportunities. Act as a point of contact for internal legal consultation on commercial and contractual matters. Work closely with both internal and external customers to enhance customer experience and to drive continuous improvement in contracting disciplines. Skills & Experience: Degree qualified in Engineering, Commerce, or Legal discipline, or equivalent industry experience. Extensive contract management experience with an in-depth understanding and appreciation of commercial, financial and advanced contracting concepts. Customer facing relationship and negotiation experience at the specialist level. Ability to optimise commercial value and drive improvements across the value chain. Professional attitude and experience in the developing of internal and external customer networks to create positive relationships and achievement of collaborative solutions. Experience in reporting on contract metrics, deliverables and commercial performance. Experience in the drafting and review of letters, variations, and scope of work documents.
