We have an exciting opportunity for a CAD Solutions Architect. The role involves defining the CAD strategy and roadmap based on business objectives for a new project.
Responsibilities
* Understand current and forecast CAD systems, data usage, and processes.
* Define ongoing CAD strategy and roadmap for the client.
* Understand business requirements and pain points.
* Understand technical requirements for business and IT.
* Identify functional and technical data and system integration needs.
* Review vendor offerings and product roadmaps.
* Coordinate with the business to promote appropriate tool/application usage for data types.
* Create metrics for CAD tools comparison.
* Analyze data types such as mechanical, electrical/EC&I, civil components, PI&Ds, routing, and model-based definitions.
* Recommend CAD data consumption for BOM, BOP, and MES.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
Essential Skills
* Deep understanding of CAD systems data usage, creation, and integration with downstream IT systems.
* Ability to develop and implement CAD strategies.
* Knowledge of Building Information Management processes and CAD visualization.
* Excellent project management skills.
Experience
* Extensive experience with enterprise CAD systems and implementing them in large environments.
* Proven ability to define CAD strategies/roadmaps.
* Experience working with technical and engineering users to capture requirements.
* Familiarity with vendor offerings and product roadmaps in CAD.
* Experience influencing senior business stakeholders.
* Experience with data types including BOM, BOP, MES, and others listed above.
