Salary £25,004 per annum for 37.5 hours per week
Duties
An excellent opportunity to join a prestigious organisation in a varied and fulfilling role in a small, friendly team. Your day-to-day duties will include:
* Providing first-line technical support to students, staff & Fellows via phone, email, or in person
* Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software
* Assisting in setting up new users and managing user accounts
* Maintaining and monitoring IT inventory, printers, and other equipment
* Escalating unresolved issues to senior team members as needed
* Supporting routine IT maintenance and update activities
To be considered for this role, you will need to have:
* An IT Level 2 apprenticeship, technical T-levels or third-party certified IT training
* 1-2 years in an IT support or helpdesk environment
* A basic understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting techniques
* Good communication, patience, and problem-solving abilities
Details of the role
The post of Junior Computer Officer is a permanent full-time role. The hours of work are from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with an unpaid 30-minute lunch break, although there is potential for a degree of flexibility on start/finish times. The annual salary is £25,004 per annum for 37.5 hours per week (Step 27 on the College Salary Scale).
