We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and forward-thinking Lead Rehabilitation Assistant Practitioner to provide strategic and professional leadership for our highly skilled team of Rehabilitation Assistant Practitioners who assist in the delivery of a comprehensive rehabilitation service to inpatients and outpatients with a wide range of cardiothoracic conditions at Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

As Lead Rehabilitation Assistant Practitioner post, you will have oversight including ensuring delivery of recruitment, induction, core and advanced training, professional supervision, clinical and non-clinical tasks and annual appraisals. The post holder will engage with Rehabilitation Assistant Practitioners, PSS/AHP unregistered staff, lead forums for unregistered staff and represent AHP support workers within the CPFT Integrated Care Board (ICB).
The post holder will be required to balance clinical and non-clinical commitments within their daily and weekly job plan. This will vary depending on leadership requirements, clinical need and staffing. The post holder will be expected to participate in an enhanced seven day service.

Qualifications
Diploma or equivalent appropriate qualification or relevant experience to diploma level
Evidence of leadership training
Experience
Experience of working as a Therapies or Rehabilitation Support Worker/ Assistant and managing own caseload of non-complex conditions
Knowledge of basic medical and rehabilitation terminology, cardiorespiratory conditions and associated surgery
Experience of teaching and presentation to peers and multi-professional colleagues within the Trust
Evidence of excellent communication skills, including verbal, non-verbal and written
Demonstrable organisation skills. Ability to prioritise workload and work independently and to support others with this. Experience of self-directed working/ability to prioritise tasks
Ability to work flexibly across the Therapies teams and be a team player
Ability to use own initiative, multitask and problem solve, but recognises own limitations, and support others to do so
Demonstrates understanding of the meaning of confidentiality & the requirement for this to be maintained
Experience of supervision and mentorship of junior staff or students
Experience with documentation in Electronic Patient Records
Experience of using MS Teams
