This is a wonderful chance to work with children who have special educational needs, providing care and support tailored to each child’s unique requirements. Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and group care support to pupils during the school day.
* Assist with personal care tasks such as feeding, toileting, and hygiene needs.
* Promote engagement and interaction during classroom and therapy activities.
* Implement behaviour and communication strategies tailored to individual needs.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and healthcare professionals.
* Maintain accurate records of support provided and report any safeguarding concerns.
Job Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young adults with SEND, particularly those with physical, sensory, or behavioural needs is desirable.
* Confidence in assisting with personal care and manual handling (training can be provided).
* An understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection.
* Compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to supporting vulnerable learners.
* Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Have anupdated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps)and anenhanced DBSregistered to theUpdate Service(or be willing to apply for one).
