The firm is seeking a CFO from a professional services background for a broad strategic role. As part of the Management Board and the Senior Management Team you will lead and deliver on the firm's finance strategy and be part of a leadership team responsible for defining the firm's business vision and managing the delivery of strategic plans.
Key elements:
* You will help the firm achieve its strategic goals and financial objectives and will define and implement the firm's finance strategy
* You will help to identify and oversee the implementation of a strategy for the firm's growth as a key member of the Management Board
* You will ensure financial planning processes are fully integrated and that there is sound financial administration, management information reporting and budgeting
* You will be directly responsible for the overall leadership and management of the finance team and have Board responsibility for working with the firm's Heads of IT Strategy and IT Operations providing leadership and insight where needed to enable delivery of the firm's technology plans
* You will create and identify opportunities for profit maximisation, including optimising processes to improve efficiency and profitability
* Acting as the firm's Compliance Officer for Financial Administration, you will facilitate a culture of risk awareness and financial compliance.
The person:
* A qualified accountant, with extensive experience within a law firm or professional partnership environment with insight into financial and regulatory compliance
* You will be able to evidence that you have identified and analysed complex issues and problems in management areas and have recommended and implemented change, ideally within the legal or professional services sector
* You are commercially astute, driving, advising on and defining strategy and business plans
* A candidate that engenders trust, confidence and respect with the authority to effect change
* You will have successfully managed teams, enabling individuals to develop and flourish.
