Partnering with a variety of stakeholders, the Product Manager will be responsible for specifying and delivering features (or ‘capabilities’) for a range of Products and for our main data processing platform. From identifying candidate ideas, through design, productionisation and into operation the PM will be responsible for the outcomes and the communication to the business. The Product Manager will also take a more broad responsibility for one or more capability areas; helping to answer stakeholder questions and solve problems (such as data collection, enrichments and AI, or workflows for example). They work closely with the other Product Managers (who will be more ‘market facing’) as well as directly with Engineering and a broad range of business stakeholders.
As a Product Manager you will be developing capabilities to detect toxic, illegal and brand damaging social media content to protect our customers and their brands.
You will prioritise and plan the sprint development activities for your teams, managing the technical backlog and bugs as well as the prioritised features/functionality. You will collaborate with Engineer, Account Management, Service Quality, Solution Architecture, Human Intelligence and Service Desk teams to ensure you collate all customer requirements, as well as the internal requirements for the product /service development. You will own the delivery of the development activities, ensuring release management activities including documentation and training are delivered, and will monitor and drive adoption to ensure the realisation of value from the development efforts.

* Team management of an Engineering team delivering Product features
* Delivery of prioritised product enhancements and technical debt / bug fixes
* Release management, including documentation and training
* Adoption / productionisation of the development efforts
Responsibilities
* Ensure that all parties have clear understanding of the end goal and are focussed on delivering
* Has the responsibility of creating a vision so that the development team can clearly visualise the expected outcome by the user
* Write or extend stories for what the product needs to do and assign work based on required features. Where required, breaking these into tickets, or more specific specifications for development team(s)
* Manage the prioritisation of work based on Effort versus Impact.
* Scope work items / tickets that need to be executed to complete the development work
* Chart and monitor progress toward completion for each component and the final product
* Ensure software delivered is of a high quality
* Use of software in the live production environment
* Writing analysis plans for projects, contributing to RFPs, pitching ideas effectively and persuasively to stakeholders
* Sign off all customer-facing software releases
* Overseeing multiple concurrent successful feature builds and deliver using diverse capabilities and teams - statistics, software, consulting - and ensure continuous improvements of project or product delivery
* Coordinate work with other software development and infrastructure teams to incorporate product components in the final product.
* Using your excellent communication skills to present and translate meaningful technical concepts to lay-audiences
Qualifications and Experience
* Consistent track record for solving critical problems on large scale enterprise products with the ability to navigate technical tradeoffs in application and platform development.
* Experience of the context/domain we work in (Real Time Risk Detection/Moderation/Security/internet Safety).
* Experience in product management, in a SAAS environment.
* Previous experience working within a fast-paced, customer-driven environment
* Expertise in managing key stakeholders including the development team and wider business
* Experience of a fast-paced, cutting edge technology environment.
* Have worked in a start-up/scale-up environment and appreciates the pace and complexity of working within these conditions
* Degree educated (or equivalent) or of degree calibre
