This is a well established organisation who are looking for an Accounts Assistant.
Job Description
* Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including invoices and purchase orders.
* Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
* Support month-end and year-end financial reporting processes.
* Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
* Assist with VAT returns and other regulatory financial requirements.
* Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
* Provide general administrative support to the Accounting & Finance department as needed.
* Respond to internal and external financial inquiries in a timely manner.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
* A background in accounting, finance, or a related field.
* Completed or in the process of completing AAT Level 3 / 4 (or equivalent).
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
* Knowledge of financial regulations and procedures in the UK.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and meeting deadlines.
