BAE Systems (Land Sector) is looking for a Product Development Engineer to support the development and delivery of defence products at their Glascoed site. This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong focus on technical documentation, trials activity, safety compliance paperwork, and configuration management. Key details Location: Glascoed, Monmouthshire ( NP15 1XL ) - on-site Contract length: 12 months Working pattern: 37 hours over 4 days (Mon-Thurs 07:15-17:00, Friday off ) IR35: Inside IR35 Rate: £38.25/hr Umbrella Headcount: 1 Responsibilities Produce and manage technical product specifications Write and review technical reports and supporting engineering documentation Plan, support, and document product trials Create and maintain safety paperwork, ensuring adherence to safety protocols Support/maintain configuration management activities and documentation Work closely with internal stakeholders to support delivery across the product development lifecycle Ensure compliance to relevant standards, procedures, and regulations Required experience / skills Strong technical engineering capability (hands-on, xxuwjjq practical approach) Proven experience with: Technical report writing Specification writing Supporting or running trials Producing safety documentation / working to safety procedures Configuration management (processes, documentation, control) Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams Defence/regulated engineering experience preferred
