Job Summary

We are a Wolverhampton based Electrical contracting company seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing administrative support, managing office tasks, and facilitating communication. This position requires a proactive individual with excellent computer skills and a strong understanding of office procedures.

Responsibilities

* Front of house duties, being the first point of contact for telephone calls, e-mails and visitors.
* Handle incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
* Coordinate and oversee the booking of jobs including allocation of appropriate resources.
* Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, including inbox management, raising jobs, creating purchase orders, updating inhouse systems and client portals.
* Support operations manager and MD with ad hoc projects.
* Book accommodation for engineers working away.
* Creating electrical certificates and reports.
* Creating RAMs and associated paperwork for each contract.
* Manage vehicle records and book MOT and servicing to keep the company vehicles compliant.
* General administrative tasks, printing, photocopying, fire alarm tests, meter readings.

Requirements

* Previous office experience is essential, with a strong background in administrative roles preferred. Electrical experience is a big advantage
* Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
* Positive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual
* Confident communicator - excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating leadership qualities where needed.
* Able to handle pressure and the occasional tricky customer
* Willing to learn and grow with the business and be a key contributing team member

This role is office based, the required hours would be Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with the option to be part of an admin on call rota for out of hours emergency calls, where a standby fee is payable on top of the salary.
