Please note that this role DOES NOT offer Tier 2 sponsorship Clinical Lead Nurse (RNLD/RMN/RGN) – Learning Disabilities – Monday-Friday - Supernumerary Role Care here is personal, specialised, and clinically complex - and strong leadership shapes everything that follows. As Clinical Lead Nurse, you’ll take a visible role within this nursing home, working hands-on with residents while providing clear clinical guidance and leadership to the wider team. The service supports a small number of adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, with a strong focus on safe, high-quality care. Before You Apply This role requires current NMC registration and recent experience with learning disabilities and complex needs. You must be confident providing clinical leadership and working autonomously. This position is not suitable for newly qualified nurses. Key Job Details Job title: Clinical Lead Nurse (RNLD/RMN/RGN) Hours: 36.75 per week, Monday to Friday Flexibility required to cover long clinical shifts (days or nights) for annual leave or sickness Contract: Permanent, full-time Setting: Small nursing home for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs Sector: Learning Disabilities / Complex Care Why This Role Is Worth Considering Combination of clinical practice and leadership, not purely desk-based Small service environment with clear standards and visible impact Opportunity to shape clinical practice and staff development Paid training and structured support with NMC revalidation Pension scheme and competitive annual leave Stable weekday core hours with planned clinical cover when needed What You’ll Need Registered Nurse (RNLD preferred; RMN or RGN considered with relevant experience) Active NMC registration Strong clinical assessment skills and confident decision-making Experience providing clinical leadership or senior nursing support Desirable Previous Clinical Lead, Senior Nurse, or Deputy experience Additional training in complex care, behaviour support, or safeguarding Proven experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs What You’ll Do Provide clinical leadership, governance, and oversight across the service Maintain responsibility for complex assessments, care planning, and risk management Lead on clinical quality, compliance, and best practice standards Support and develop nursing and care staff through coaching and supervision Work closely with MDT partners, families, and external professionals Contribute to service development and organisational clinical strategy What Happens After You Apply Applications are reviewed promptly.
