What's involved with this role: JOB TITLE: Right to Buy Income Administrator REF: Bournemouth 5281045 Pay rate: £13.69 per hour PAYE Contract Type: Temporary, Anticipated 3 months Working Arrangement: Hybrid working, Office approx. twice a week Basic DBS required In order to apply for this role you will have previous admin experience working within a local authority with ability to handle initial leaseholder enquiries and resolve at first contact where possible. Experience of using software systems such as Excel, Northgate, Civica CX and EDRMS. Good customer service skills. The role: On behalf of a local council, we are seeking an Income Administrator to work as part of a team responsible for processing Right to Buy claims, providing a front-line leasehold service and calculating and implementing service charges for Council tenants. This role will deal with leaseholder and tenant queries in the first instance, processing RTB applications, paying bills and keeping accurate records relevant to service charges and ensuring the relevant software systems are accurate and up to date. Key Responsibilities: Receive and process Right to Buy applications, including eligibility checks, references, and required documentation within statutory timescales. Handle initial leaseholder enquiries and resolve at first contact where possible. Issue welcome packs and update leaseholder contact information as needed. Calculate, verify, and update cleaning and grounds maintenance charges. Maintain and update all software systems (Excel, Northgate, Civica CX, EDRMS). Perform scanning, filing, photocopying, and general admin tasks. Provide information to solicitors, insurers, and utility companies. Assist Leasehold Officer with issuing service charge accounts, S.20 notices, and major works communications. Support leaseholder surveys and feedback collection. Help produce information and advice materials on leaseholder rights and responsibilities. Process and record bill payments in relevant systems. Issue leaseholder account statements, identify debts, and arrange payment plans as needed. What the client is looking for: Previous experience working within a local authority, housing association, or property management environment. Experience of office work and general administration Some experience of working with customers on the telephone, face to face and in writing Familiarity with Right to Buy (RTB) processes and associated legislation. Experience handling leasehold management, service charge accounts, and S.20 consultation notices is desirable Knowledge of EDRMS (Electronic Document and Records Management Systems) or similar document management software. Understanding of major works and service charge billing cycles.
