Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! We are seeking passionate SUPPORT WORKERS to join our team in the Kirton Area.
As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.
Our services support individuals who require assistance with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health needs, and communication difficulties. We need Support Workers to provide the physical and emotional support that our people we support need every day. This includes assistance with personal care, managing finances, activities, and everything else to help them achieve their goals and aspirations.
Responsibilities
* Provide physical and emotional support to individuals with varying needs, including daily living tasks and personal care.
* Assist with activities to promote independence and well-being.
* Support individuals with finances and medication (where applicable and within policy).
* Encourage engagement in activities and community inclusion; support day trips and social outings where appropriate.
Qualities and Skills
* Relationship Building: Essential for gaining trust, establishing open communication, and building lasting relationships.
* Patience and Understanding: Important for navigating challenging situations effectively.
* Conflict-Resolution Techniques: Necessary for managing and resolving conflicts constructively.
What we’re looking for
* A genuine passion for supporting others.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
* People who enjoy interactivity with the people we support. Activities may include sightseeing, day trips, etc.
Contract options
* Full time - 37.5 hours per week
* Days: Shifts between 07:00-22:00
* Sleep-ins paid at a flat rate of £63.70
* Must be flexible to cover weekends on a rota basis
All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
