Learning Support Assistant – Eastleigh
Prospero Teaching are working with an ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted rated Alternative Provision in Eastleigh, Hampshire.
The School are looking to appoint enthusiastic and inspirational person to work as a Learning Support Worker/Mentor, on a Full time basis to start as soon as possible or September 2022 potentially to move on to a permanent contract.
This is a highly rewarding role. The School are looking for individuals that are supportive, non-judgemental, patient, easy to talk to, positive and flexible. You must be able to speak to pupils in a manner which encourages and supports them, enabling you to build trusting relationships.
You will be supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues. These pupils have found re-integrating back to School life very challenging and they are needing support, both with academic work and pastoral care.
Previous experience of working with young people is desirable. Experience with SEMH would be an advantage. A team player with patience, understanding and a willingness to develop is needed.
This role is ideal for graduates and aspiring teachers, looking to gain more experience before applying for teacher training. The School would like to hear from Support Workers, with care experience.
School hours are to Pay is negotiable.

To be eligible the 1:1 Learning Support Assistant must have
7. C grade or higher in English and Maths at GCSE
8. Calm and nurturing approach
9. Personable
10. Reliable and hard working.
