Job Purpose
1. To carry out minor planned, and reactive maintenance works at ASDA stores to pre-determined standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the Company Health and Safety policy.
2. Work as part of the store team, communicating with site colleagues and management to provide general maintenance provision (plumbing, joinery and painting)
3. Complete and close any Reactive Jobs & PPMs passed to you via Help Desk on your City supplied Device/Tablet
4. All jobs must be logged for each request via agreed Asda/ City protocol
Reactive Maintenance
Building
5. Assist the General Maintenance Technician in completion of minor works
6. PVC strip curtain replacement.
7. Low level cladding and maintenance.
8. Internal and external store walk round inspection
Plumbing
9. Unblocking drains, urinals, toilets and sinks.
10. Repair leaking taps and washers.
11. Sinks, urinals, toilets and drains maintenance.
Joinery
12. Wall, floor and associated fittings repairs.
13. Ironmongery and hardware repairs and replacement
General
14. Banner, picture and notice board hanging.
15. Moving furniture and equipment.
16. Repair of furniture and fabric
17. Ad hoc assigned works qualified and authorised to complete
Planned Maintenance
18. Basic plant room housekeeping checks.
19. Carry out in store case cleaning programme as per schedule
20. Carry Out weekly fire alarm call point testing
21. Water temperature checks & low usage outlet flushing in line with L8 regulations
22. Critical Store Validation (CSV Monthly checks)
23. Hand Pallet Truck Monthly checks
Skills / Background / Qualifications
24. Experience in a trade and ability to do basic multiple trades, first time round.
25. Joinery/ Building experience preferred, but not essential.
26. Ability to work independently and be proactive in approach to job.
27. Be physically fit and willing to be hands on.
28. Driving License Essential.
