We are looking for caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across primary schools in Sheffield and Barnsley. This is a rewarding role where you will help children overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary Schools)
Start Date: immediate starts available
⏰ Contract: Full-time / Part-time | Term-time only | Long-term

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
* Assist the class teacher in delivering personalised learning plans
* Use strategies to support children with ASC, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language, and other needs
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies

✅ Requirements:
* Experience working with children with SEN (school or care setting)
* Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
* A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
* Good communication and behaviour management skills
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
