Are you the type of progressive business leader who loves the cut and thrust of operational management within a manufacturing organisation, and who enjoys the challenges that producing a consistently large volume of materials at pace can bring.
I am currently working with a leading manufacturer within the building materials industry with a leading presence in the market, providing a premium product used for multiple applications, reporting to the Executive Leadership Team they are looking for an experienced person to become the Head of Operations in a highly visible role, someone who has a hands‑on approach to management, developing culture and mentoring the operational team
What you will be doing:
* Hold full responsibility for the success of the manufacturing facility which includes a workforce of over 180 people
* Manage the operational budgets
* Lead and develop operational strategy aligned with the overall corporate objectives
* Drive operational excellence throughout all areas of the site, from manufacturing, engineering, operational support and supply chain
* Use raw data and cost analysis to design, promote and improve process to be more efficient to increase profitability
* Mentor the departmental management teams in their personal growth and development within the business
* Provide strategic leadership and reporting to the executive leadership team
* Promote Health & Safety as akey principle of the business
Skills Experience
* It is expected that you will be qualified to degree level
* A proven track record in operational Leadership in a large multi–process manufacturing business
* Be a strategic thinker and problem solver with experience implementing lean manufacturing, operational excellence or transformation programmes with a continuous improvement mindset
* Exceptional commercial awareness and the ability to align operational performance with corporate business strategy
* Strong Leadership Capability with experience of leading large teams and senior management
