Job Description
ASOS Supply Chain has established a centralized data science team to provide value across all facets of Supply Chain such as improving last‑mile customer journey accuracy, driving warehousing precision, optimizing inbound routing, and consolidating returns operations. You will be responsible for identifying and demonstrating the strategic business value that process intelligence provides by holding teams to account using data analytics and situational anecdotes.
You will be a trusted advisor to the team, providing rigor and removing opportunities for bias. You will analyze large data sets, create models, identify themes and collate the data into Value Insight Packages (VIPs) that drive mean‑shift improvements and/or remove variation from our processes.
The Details
* Understand customer pain points, business priorities, and strategic goals to identify relevant VIPs.
* Improve data quality and governance standards, help identify data quality gaps and support their resolution, creating trusted data sets and eradicating trust undermine.
* Analyze customer data within ASOS platforms to identify process inefficiencies and potential areas for improvement including tracking of non‑compliance or variance vs the design intent path.
* Using ASOS data and external experience, model relationships of different factors to support business requirements.
* Develop compelling VIPs by quantifying potential measurable outcomes, efficiency gains, and potential cost savings.
* Collaborate with wider Supply Chain & related teams, technical consultants, and senior management to present VIPs and manage expectations, gaining adoption. Work with Supply Chain teams to ensure successful implementation and ongoing value extraction from VIPs through ASOS frameworks ensuring that change happens.
* Empower others in the process intelligence journey, taking sponsorship, leading training & providing demos to stakeholders.
Qualifications
* Experience with implementing RPA, BI Tools, or building Dashboards, Apps, and Action Flows. Knowledge of Python, R, SQL, Spark, Hadoop, MATLAB, Git.
* Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
* Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language tailored to audience.
* Change management experience across interrelated stakeholders.
