Description
The Procurement team is pivotal to both the Sales and Service Delivery areas of Amber and is responsible for negotiating and securing energy contracts ranging from energy spends of around £100,000 up to multi-million pound contracts. We focus on tailoring bespoke procurement solutions for our clients and partnering them with the right supplier, ensuring exceptional service.
The Energy Procurement Analyst is responsible for managing all aspects of energy procurement for their assigned Tier 2 – 5 clients and supporting the Senior Procurement Analysts when required to do so on Tier 1 clients.
What will you be doing?
* Undertake the tendering process for gas, electricity and water and produce analysis and recommendations through an executive summary.
* Be the Procurement Lead for assigned clients, with responsibility for all procurement activity for them.
* Provide procurement advice and support in developing procurement strategies for assigned clients.
* Attend client meetings, calls and virtual meetings as the Procurement Lead for assigned accounts.
* Ongoing development of procurement knowledge and keeping up to date with all regulatory and product changes.
* Resolve queries swiftly and effectively in line with company procedures.
* Develop and maintaining excellent relationships with sales agents, account managers, colleagues and suppliers.
What does good look like?
* Knowledge of a range of energy procurement products.
* Experience within an Energy Procurement or similar function.
* Strong IT skills- MS Excel, MS Word.
* An excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with an exception work ethic.
* Excellent communicator.
* A team player.
* Salesforce (experience desired but not essential).
