An independent school is recruiting for a temporary Chef de Partie to assist in the catering provision for boarding pupils. In this role, you will support the Chef Manager with the preparation and service of meals for approximately 300 boarding students each day and be responsible for the preparation and serving of food to staff
All the food is freshly prepared from scratch, with bespoke menus designed by the chefs to deliver exciting, on-trend breakfast, lunch and supper options. The school takes pride in using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients to create high-quality, nutritious dishes.
This is a term-time position working 31.5 hours per week. The hours will be:
1. 7am to 2:30pm Tuesday & Wednesday
2. 8:30am to 6:30pm Friday
3. 10am to 6:30pm Saturday
Requirements:
A Chef de Partie who has experience of working in a similar high-pressured environment. Must have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety, be highly organised keeping up standards of hygiene and ensuring all areas are clean and tidy. You must have excellent customer service and social skills. care skills to be able to communicate with the children and teenagers.
