Health, Safety & Security Manager – Harlow

As a Health, Safety & Security Manager you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe working environment for all employees, contractors and visitors.
What you’ll do:
* Champion a behaviour‑based safety culture and promote proactive H&S attitudes across the site
* Develop, implement and maintain H&S policies and procedures in line with legislation and Clarins corporate standards
* Conduct regular risk assessments, audits and inspections
* Lead the Health & Safety Committee and ensure contractor safety compliance
* Integrate H&S into all capital and operational projects from planning stage
* Ensure full compliance with all applicable H&S regulations and internal policies
* Maintain accurate records of incidents, permits, audits and statutory data
* Oversee COSHH, RIDDOR, fire drills, MSDS management and regulatory reporting
* Serve as the main liaison with authorities and external advisors
* Lead investigations into all accidents, near misses and safety breaches
* Ensure high‑quality reporting and root cause analysis, with follow‑up action plans
* Deliver engaging training and toolbox talks to staff and contractors
* Ensure all mandatory training (fire, first aid, manual handling, etc.) is current
* Manage outsourced security and stock loss prevention measures
* Monitor site access, CCTV and asset protection in line with role profiles
Qualifications & Experience:
* NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent (essential)
* Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and best practices
* Experience in logistics, warehousing, or distribution environments
* Excellent communication, auditing and training delivery skills
* Confident in managing stakeholders, regulatory bodies and external contractors
