We’re on the lookout for a Senior Technical Coordinator or Technical Manager to help manage the design process of high-quality residential developments for a fast-growing, design-led developer.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nThis is an exciting opportunity to work on an exclusive project in the Birmingham area, with a strong focus on high-rise, concrete frame residential schemes. You'll coordinate the technical aspects of development from pre-planning through to delivery, ensuring buildability, regulatory compliance, and exceptional quality throughout.\n\nProgression is tangible, with large-scale projects already underway and more due to start later this year.
Born out of London, our client’s brand is synonymous with quality, and now expanding nationally – offering a unique opportunity to grow with a forward-thinking business.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Manage and coordinate the design process across all stages of high-rise residential developments\n\n * Oversee technical detailing for concrete frame structures and complex construction elements\n\n * Lead the preparation and submission of BSR (Building Safety Regulator) Applications\n\n * Collaborate with architects, consultants, and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery\n\n * Ensure full compliance with building regulations, NHBC standards, and planning conditions\n\n * Conduct buildability and value engineering reviews during pre-construction\n\n * Provide technical support to procurement and construction teams on site\n\n * Identify and resolve technical risks, ensuring smooth progression through key gateways\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\n * Experience in a technical role within a similar residential developer or contractor, ideally involving high-rise schemes\n\n * Solid understanding of concrete frame construction methods\n\n * Hands-on experience preparing BSR Gateway 2 Applications (and/or familiarity with Building Safety Act requirements)\n\n * Strong knowledge of UK housing standards, planning, and regulatory processes\n\n * RIBA Part 3 qualified with a BA in Architectural Design (or equivalent)\n\n * Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills\n\n * Detail-driven, solution-oriented, and confident working on large-scale developments\n\nWhat’s in It for You?\n\n * Be part of a national brand known for its design excellence and build quality\n\n * Work on high-profile residential schemes in a thriving regional hub\n\n * Join a supportive team with real momentum and room for progression\n\n * Competitive salary, bonus scheme, and full benefits package\n\n * A chance to shape the future of housing in the heart of Birmingham
