About the Role
Happy Nest Nanny & Maternity Agency is looking for an experienced and nurturing Maternity Nurse to provide round-the-clock support for a family welcoming their first baby via planned C-section.
The initial booking is for a minimum of 4 weeks, offering 24-hour care, 7 days a week. The family is open to a shared arrangement if you would prefer to work on a rota (for example 4/3 or 5/2).
You'll guide and reassure new parents during those precious early weeks, supporting them with feeding choices (breast, bottle, or combination), newborn care, and establishing healthy sleep routines.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide 24-hour newborn care, including night feeds and settling
* Offer guidance on feeding (breast, bottle, or combination) and support with lactation
* Assist with establishing gentle sleep routines and offer sleep consultancy advice as baby develops
* Support mothers post-C-section recovery and overall wellbeing
* Light assistance such as reheating pre-prepared meals during the first week
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years professional experience as a maternity nurse or similar
* Up-to-date Enhanced DBS check
* Paediatric First Aid certification
* Relevant maternity nurse qualifications (e.g., MNT, NEST or equivalent)
* Excellent references from previous families
* Calm, compassionate, and knowledgeable in postnatal care
