Vibe Recruit is recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our client on a 6-month contract based in the Aberdare / Rhigos area. This role will provide professional health and safety guidance and operational support to ensure a safe, legally compliant and risk-aware working environment.
A key focus of the role will be the management, implementation and continuous improvement of DSEAR controls across relevant processes, equipment and facilities.
Location: Aberdare / Rhigos
Rate: £17.09 per hour /Paid weekly
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: 6-month contract
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:00,Friday: 07:30 - 13:30
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day health and safety advice and support across site operations
* Manage and support DSEAR compliance, including implementation and ongoing review
* Conduct risk assessments, including DSEAR and COSHH
* Support incident investigations and corrective action planning
* Carry out safety inspections, audits and compliance checks
* Advise on hazardous substances, flammable atmospheres and control measures
* Support the development and maintenance of safe systems of work and procedures
* Engage with managers, engineers and operational teams to promote best practice
* Maintain accurate health and safety documentation
Essential Requirements:
* NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)
* Demonstrable experience working with DSEAR in an operational environment (manufacturing, engineering, chemical or similar)
* Strong understanding of hazardous substances and flammable atmospheres
* Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations and safety audits
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
Desirable:
* Experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment
* Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation
* Immediate availability
