Job Title We are looking for Swimming Instructors Level 1 or 2 qualified for the below (when completing the advert you will be asked to select which post you are applying for): Location & Hours: Tredegar Sport Centre- Thursday 3.17 hours ( 3.45 - 6.55pm) (Level 1/2 Qualification) Ebbw Vale Sport Centre - Friday 1.25 hours (3.45 - 5pm), Saturday - 2 hours (8.45-11.45am) (Level 2 Qualification) Abertillery Sport Centre - Sunday 3 hours (12-3pm) (Level 2 Qualification) Salary Level 1 Scale 4: £14.82 per hour Level 2 Scale 6: £19.32 per hour Job Summary Aneurin Leisure is seeking motivated and skilled individuals to join our team as a Level 1 Swimming Instructor or Level 2 Swimming Instructor. This role focuses on supporting and delivering our learn-to-swim programme across various sports centres in Blaenau Gwent. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Level 2 Swimming instructor to provide high-quality swimming lessons to participants. Full Advert We are looking for an enthusiastic swimming instructor to become a part of our sport and fitness team. You will assist in and deliver swimming lessons as part of Aneurin Leisure’s learn-to-swim programme across Blaenau Gwent. Key Responsibilities Assist in the planning and delivery of swimming lessons. Oversee and coordinate swimming sessions to ensure they meet high-quality standards. Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of each learner and the swimming pathway. Monitor and assess participants' performance. Maintain punctuality, organization, and manage data related to swim lesson provisions. Lead, develop, and motivate children to help them achieve their swimming goals. Qualifications And Skills Must possess a Level 1 Swimming Assistant Qualification or higher swimming qualification. Competency in monitoring performance and managing swim lesson data. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lead, motivate, and develop children in their swimming education. Flexible approach to teaching. Additional Information Comprehensive pre-employment screening will be conducted. The post holder will be required to complete a Disclosure of Criminal Records application.
