Based in a children's residential home, you will be working with young people with challenging behaviour, and you will need to be flexible, resilient, honest, and well organised, as well as committed to providing a high standard of childcare to help young people achieve the best possible outcomes.
Requirements
* Full manual driving license
* Be capable of working on their own initiative to a high level of accuracy, maintain clear, neat records
* Have good inter-personal skills, and be a positive team player
* The ability to complete daily records to meet statutory and policy requirements.
* Empathetic nature
* Have good oral and written communication skills in a variety of contexts
* The ability to engage, motivate and encourage young people
Desirable Skills
* Previous experience of working with young people
* Willing to work towards the fully funded qualification in level 3 Children and Young People (or already qualified)
