A brilliant opportunity has arisen to work as a Technical Cleanliness Technician for our client within the machining department. Staffline is recruiting a Technical Cleanliness Technician in Hams Hall. The rate of pay is £13.66 per hour. This is a full-time role working fixed shifts Monday to Friday, and the hours of work are: - Monday to Thursday 6am - 2:30pm - Friday 6am to 12pm Your Time at Work As a Technical Cleanliness Laboratory Technician you will be responsible for conducting cleanliness testing and analysis of components in accordance with industry standards, particularly VDA 19.1. Other duties include: - Preparing samples for testing, ensuring proper cleaning and handling procedures are followed to avoid contamination. - Performing cleanliness testing on components using established process methods and protocols, including particle counting and contamination analysis. - Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, including rinse cabinets, particle counters, microscopes for particle identification (e.g. Jomesa) and analysis (e.g. SEM/EDX) and cleaning apparatus. - Document test results accurately and maintain detailed records of cleanliness assessments. - Performing particle analysis work, identification and analysis (eg. Jomesa, SEM/EDX & Coralis) to support reporting and problem resolution activities. - SEM-Scanning Electron Microscopy. EDX-Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectrography. Coralis - LIBS, Laser Induced Breakdown, Spectrography / RAMAN, Laser Spectrography. - Analyse data and prepare reports summarising findings, including compliance with cleanliness standards. - Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to offer support for cleanliness-related topics/issues. - Stay updated on industry standards and best practices related to technical cleanliness and contamination control. - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory processes and testing methodologies. - Ensure compliance with safety regulations and laboratory protocols. Applicants will have previous experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in cleanliness testing or quality control, and familiarity with VDA 19 or similar cleanliness standards is a plus. Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in relevant field (e.g, Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Science) or equivalent experience is required.
