Job Description
Assistant Manager-Laundry
You are at the heart of the hotel! As an Assistant Manager-Laundry, you will be responsible for washing hotel linen, uniforms, and guest laundry. You will perform laundry washing responsibilities in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.

What you will be doing:
* Assign and review the work of the laundry team engaged in receiving, washing, ironing, packaging, and delivering.
* Ensure that all the Standard Operating Procedures set for the laundry department are followed.
* Address any matter which may affect the interests of the hotel to the Management.
* Plan and ensure the implementation of preventive maintenance for all laundry equipment.
* Plan and budget the revenues and costs for the Laundry department.
* Check all laundry machinery to ensure filters are cleaned regularly and press covers are in good condition; report any machine defects to Engineering.
* Identify optimal, cost-effective use of resources and educate the team on the same.
* Maintain strict control and record of items sent for laundering by staff members.
* Ensure laundry equipment and work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and hygienic manner according to standards.
* Supervise and direct the daily activities of all laundry staff to ensure efficient and smooth operation of the department.
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
* Post-secondary education, preferably in Hospitality Management or a related field
* Minimum 3 years laundry experience, preferably in a luxury hotel environment, with 1 year in a supervisory role
* Proven experience managing large-scale laundry operations and dry-cleaning services
* In-depth knowledge of industrial laundry equipment, chemicals, and processes
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in laundry operations
* Ability to lead and develop teams, including scheduling and performance management
* Warm and caring personality; previous housekeeping experience is an asset
* Ability to anticipate and focus on guest needs, maintaining professionalism and a welcoming attitude
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
