This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join an organisation that recognises talent and encourages personal development. \n\nAs part of Inverclyde Councilâs âInverclyde Worksâ recruitment and training drive, we are inviting applications for our Modern Apprentice (MA) Programme for Inverclyde residents aged between 16 â 24 years who are looking to gain experience of working in a busy office environment. (The age range increases to up to 29 years for Inverclyde residents who have a disability and/or are care experienced*).\n\nSuccessful applicants will be employed on a fixed term 18 month contract, working 37 hours per week, and will attain a SCQF Level 5/6 Business Administration qualification. The annual salary is £24,242\n\nA range of Departments provide an excellent learning environment for administrative work and details of the Department you would be working in will be provided following the interview process. Departments used in previous years include Finance, Human Resources, Environmental Services, Education, and our Health & Social Care Partnership.\n This is a work-based qualification, and you will undertake a job role which allows you to provide the required evidence in a working environment to successfully achieve the qualification. \n\nYour supervisor will work with you to develop key skills such as working in teams, problem solving, communication and using IT. There will be visits from a Training Assessor who will ensure that you undertake the full training programme both at college and on site. \n\nThis qualification is delivered through on-going assessment in the workplace as well as day release to attend college for additional training. Applicants must have SCQF Level 4 Maths (or equivalent) and 2 SCQF Level 5âs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, one of which must be English, or have completed a relevant Foundation Apprenticeship. \n\nIn addition, you must be willing to commit to meeting agreed timescales and targets in relation to attaining the qualification within 18 months.
