Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Baker to join our wonderful client in an established business on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, baking, and finishing of a variety of baked goods, with a strong focus on dough handling and oven work. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment that requires a passion for baking, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and handle dough according to recipes and production requirements
* Operate ovens and baking equipment safely and efficiently
* Monitor baking times and product quality
* Ensure all baked goods meet our quality standards
* Follow daily production schedules and meet deadlines
* Maintain a clean and organised workstation at all times
* Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
* Assist with stock rotation and ingredient management
* Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations during shifts
Requirements
* Previous experience as a baker or in a similar food production role
* Strong skills in dough preparation and oven operation
* Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
* Ability to work early morning or late shifts as part of a rota
* Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the role
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
