Your New JobAre you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant Level 1 to join a thriving special primary school in Tameside. You will support pupils aged 4–11, all of whom have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and present withplex learning difficulties and autism, or are on the pathway to diagnosis. Your role will involve:
1. Providing 1:1 and small group support
2. Assisting with personalised learning plans
3. Promoting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour
4. Supporting pupils’ physical, social and emotional development
5. Engaging in outdoor activities in all weather conditions

11. Kind, caring, and passionate about SEND education
12. Flexible, reliable, and able to work effectively in a team
13. Knowledgeable about safeguarding practices
14. Experienced (or willing to gain experience) in supporting children with autism andplex needs
15. Experience in a school or care setting is desirable but not essential. A willingness to undertake training such as Team Teach and safeguarding is required.
