We are working on behalf of a well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy to recruit aa Associate Structural Engineer for their Gloucester office.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced structural engineer looking to take on a senior technical and leadership role within a busy London-based team, delivering complex and high-profile projects across a range of sectors.
The Role
As an Associate Structural Engineer, you will provide technical leadership on a variety of projects from concept through to completion. You will be responsible for managing project teams, maintaining technical excellence, and building strong client relationships, while remaining hands-on in design.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver complex structural engineering projects
Provide technical oversight and review of designs, calculations, and drawings
Design in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber
Manage and mentor engineers and technicians
Act as a key client-facing contact, attending meetings and providing technical advice
Ensure compliance with UK design codes, standards, and best practice
Support work-winning activities, bids, and proposals
Contribute to the ongoing growth and development of the London team
Candidate Requirements
Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
Chartered Engineer status (IStructE or ICE)
Significant experience within a UK structural engineering consultancy
Proven track record of leading projects and teams
Strong technical capability and attention to detail
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Commercially aware with a proactive, collaborative approach
