Temporary HR & Recruitment Officer (6–9 Months) – Immediate Start
York Based, Hybrid (2–3 Days in Office)
£17.95 per hour
Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
We’re looking for a proactive and capable HR & Recruitment professional to join a busy People team on a temporary basis for an initial 6–9 months. This role is based in York, with hybrid working (2–3 days per week in the office). You’ll be supporting a variety of HR and recruitment activities and working closely with colleagues across the People Team.
This is a hands-on, varied role for someone confident jumping in and supporting wherever needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* HR administration: data input, letter and contract drafting, mailbox management, and responding to general HR queries
* Onboarding support, including pre-employment checks and vetting
* Recruitment admin: screening CVs, booking interviews, and supporting hiring managers
* Managing recruitment data and generating reports
* General data analysis and support with ad hoc HR projects
What We’re Looking For:
* HR generalist experience, with confidence managing multiple priorities
* Strong data handling and reporting skills
* Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS)
* A dependable self-starter who can work with minimal supervision
* CIPD qualification is a bonus but not essential
