- To deliver high-quality, developmental coaching to gymnasts of all levels at the club
- To provide a safe, professional & well-managed gym environment for all our members
- To work cohesively with all staff to maintain a positive, progress-focused ethos for everyone
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- L1, L2 or L3 Gymnastics Coaching qualification
- Up-to-date Wellbeing & Protection, PVG Scheme Record & British Gymnastics membership (updates will be carried out for successful candidates)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Confidence in preparing gymnasts and handling skills to a high standard
- Ability to build strong relationships with staff, parents & gymnasts alike
- Clear personal coaching ethos that aligns with our club values and ambitions
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Artistry, Strength & Conditioning, Pre-School, Disabilities or other specialist CPD
- Previous experience within competitive pathways
- Familiarity with Class4Kids & JustGo membership systems
- Keen to work towards next level of qualification and further personal development
MAIN TASKS:
- Coach and implement training programmes to provide a high-quality and progress focused experience for each gymnast
- Support the growth & development of the club’s staff and volunteers through mentoring, training & opportunities to gain experience where appropriate
- Communicate proactively with the club’s management team and coaches to ensure operations work smoothly for all members
- Assist with cleaning & maintaining the gym environment via a regular weekly schedule
- Ensure that all club policies are followed and that any accidents, injuries or similar incidents are recorded & reported appropriately
- Act in a responsible & appropriate manner at all times in accordance with the club’s Codes of Conduct, Safeguarding Policy (and related policies) and best ethics & practice
- Maintain & update your required qualifications in line with Scottish & British Gymnastics’ policy
