Role Overview

Part‑time Service Support Officer on the Fostering Service Administration Team. Responsibilities include undertaking Special Guardianship, Child Arrangement and Adoption financial assessments.


Key Responsibilities

* Manage emails and maintain accurate records.
* Maintain Excel spreadsheets with attention to detail.
* Coordinate with carers, social workers and managers.
* Work to tight deadlines and collaborate as part of a team.
* Admin tasks: ensure accuracy and consistency of information; update Children’s Social Care systems; prioritise incoming post and messages; maintain files and record systems including scanning and uploading documents; ensure tasks allocated are completed accurately within allocated timescale; raise and receipting purchase orders and procurement purchases.


Required Qualifications and Experience

* Previous experience in a business administration role.
* NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent.
* Experience with Microsoft Office packages.
* Experience in finance and procurement is an advantage.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good attention to detail.
* Ability to plan and organise diaries.


Working Hours and Contract

18.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role is office based but offers some flexibility. Fixed‑term contract until March 2027.
