THE BUSINESS
Westray Recruitment Group is seeking to recruit to a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to work a set shift pattern for our client in the Durham area. You will work 3 x 12 hour shifts per week, rotating Week 1: Thursday – Saturday 06.00hrs – 18.00hrs / Week 2: Friday – Sunday 06.00hrs – 18.00hrs. The hours of work are day shift only. Although open to all, this position may suit candidates with a young family who are needing child care arrangements or candidates looking to improve their work life balance by undertaking less hours, but still maintaining earning potential. THE ROLE
9. Operating within a high-volume manufacturing facility
10. Working to maintain plant site facilities
11. Performing machine strip down and repair
12. Working to maintain automated production lines
13. Optimising manufacturing processes – improving efficiencies, reducing wastage, enhancing yield and reducing cost
14. Working to deliver planned and reactive maintenance
15. Updating maintenance schedules
THE PERSON
16. Time served recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship
17. Educated to ONC/HNC equivalents – Mechanically Biased Maintenance Technician
18. Able to undertake fault finding on mechanical systems
19. Able to work with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, motors, gears, pumps, valves, etc
20. Able to effectively identify and resolve manufacturing issues
21. Competent to weld and fabricate with good bench working skills
22. Proficient with IT
23. Excellent communicator
24. Able to abide by H&S
