Menzies Distribution Solutions are currently looking for a Transport Coordinator/Class 1 Driver to join our busy team based in Carrington. The main purpose of this role is to be responsible for supporting our customer, drivers and colleagues throughout the business and have the knowledge to assist with movement of the transport plan as necessary. The Details: Salary: £34,930.59 Per Annum or £15.99 Per Hour £3.28 Per Hour Night Allowance. Shift Pattern: 4 On/4 Off Nights Hours: 18:00-06:00 20 Days Per Annum Holiday Allowance Monthly Pay Class 1 Driver/Transport Coordinator Duties: Full UK Category CE (Class 1) Licence Valid Driver CPC Qualification Digital Tachograph Card Good understanding of EU Drivers’ Hours Rules and Working Time Directive Clean or acceptable driving record Strong driving skills with the ability to handle articulated vehicles safely Excellent knowledge of road safety legislation and transport regulations Ability to carry out vehicle checks and report defects accurately Experience in transport or logistics environment (preferred but not essential) Strong understanding of compliance, including drivers’ hours, WTD, and fleet standards IT skills, including use of TMS systems, Excel, email, and planning tools Excellent communication and organisational skills Strong problem-solving skills, especially under pressure Good attention to detail when handling paperwork, bookings, and compliance tasks Time management and ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment Professional and calm approach when dealing with challenges or delays Benefits Time For You: Relax with 28 days of holiday inclusive of bank holidays.
