Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Audio Typist within Business Administration, Mental Health Services, North Ayrshire Health & Social Care Partnership based at Ayrshire Central Hospital, Irvine. This post is offered on a permanent basis.


Hours

28.8 hours per week. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, 9.00 am to 3.30 pm and Wednesday 9.00 am to 1.48 pm.


UK Driving Licence

A UK driving licence is desirable for this role.


What You Will Do

You will provide comprehensive, confidential secretarial and administrative support to the Mental Health Services directorate within North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership.


Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required For This Post

* Educated to O' Grade / Standard Grade Credit or National 5 in English and Maths.
* Possess an SVQ Level III qualification in Business Administration or equivalent relevant qualification and/or equivalent experience.
* Have a recognised IT qualification in Microsoft Office packages or equivalent relevant qualification and/or equivalent experience.
* Advanced keyboard skills, proven audio typing experience.
* Knowledge of medical terminology and working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.
* Experience working within an NHS environment and understanding of NHS inter-disciplinary networks (desirable).
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
* Ability to work unsupervised, using own initiative.
* Ability to adhere to strict maintenance of confidentiality with knowledge/understanding and compliance of GDPR.
* Flexibility to adapt to changes and last‑minute demands.
