Introduction
Shimano is a worldwide supplier of highly advanced bicycle components, fishing tackle and other sports equipment. Shimano Europe Group is the umbrella for several sales offices, successfully selling, marketing, and servicing high quality products for the European bicycle and fishing market.
Being the face of Shimano, the role requires you to maintain excellent business relationships, advising our customers (key retail accounts) on market trends, and offering them the opportunity to work with all Shimano product groups.
We are looking for a Sales Representative from the UK (southeast) to join our team. You will report to the Sales Team Manager and advise them in accordance with the market action plan, working alongside the field sales team to realise sales targets. The Challenge
1. Regularly visit customers to advise upon Shimano products to maintain relations, create customer value and sell the products.
2. Report visits regularly to enable sales management to monitor progress and register customer and market developments as input for future visits or marketing/sales actions.
3. Explore the region for new changes and visit new customers/organizations to inform them about Shimano and to create additional sales.
4. Formulate an action plan for your sales area. Considering the targets set, history, forecasts and action planswith support from the Sales Manager.
5. Construct account plans for your key customers based on the sales action plan.
6. Assist at trade and consumer shows or events to ensure Shimano presence and to meet (potential) customers.
What are we looking for?
7. Affinity with the fishing industry and its products and above all passion for fishing.
8. A minimumexperience of 3-4 years in field sales. Preferably in the fishing industry.
9. You have excellent communication skills, you have an analytical as well as practical mindset, you are pro-active and goal oriented.
10. You are customer oriented; you take responsibility, and you are able to perform your work independently.
11. Open for regular travelling throughout UK & Europe.
12. You are flexible and adaptable in dealing with new situations and changes to achieve the set goals.
13. You work accurately, with an eye for detail and you work according to agreed procedures.
14. Good language skills in Englishboth verbally and in writing.
15. Good knowledge of MS Office.
