Music Teacher

If you’re passionate about helping students discover their musical talent, this Music Teacher role in Gateshead could be a great opportunity. The school is seeking someone who can deliver practical, engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4.

What the role involves as a Music Teacher

You’ll teach a mix of practical and theory-based music lessons, supporting pupils with performance, composition and listening skills. The department is supportive and values creativity and pupil confidence.

Your responsibilities as a Music Teacher

1. Teaching classroom Music to KS3 and KS4
2. Supporting pupils with practical work and performance pieces
3. Delivering lessons that enhance listening and composition skills
4. Preparing students for GCSE or BTEC assessments
5. Working collaboratively with the Arts department

What you’ll bring as a Music Teacher

6. QTS with Music teaching experience
7. Confidence leading practical lessons
8. Strong musicianship and communication skills
9. A warm, supportive teaching approach

About Us

Protocol Education is part of the Supporting Education Group, giving teachers access to high-quality training, resources and sector expertise. We work closely with Gateshead schools to place Music Teachers who bring energy, creativity and structure to lessons.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
